Vice President of Human Resources
Mr. Shea serves as our Vice President of Human Resources at TRI Pointe, and leads HR initiatives for more than 950 employees across six businesses. With more than three decades of experience working for Weyerhaeuser Real Estate, Mr. Shea became Director of Human Resources in 2008, bringing a wealth of merger and acquisition, human resources and industry expertise to the role. He previously held similar leadership positions in the company’s pulp, paper and packaging business, international human resources, organizational effectiveness group and hardwoods business.
Mr. Shea earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Industrial Psychology and Business Management from Washington State University and is a graduate of Seattle University’s Executive Leadership Program. In addition, Mr. Shea has served as a board member for Seattle University’s Center for Leadership Formation’s Advisory board, the Multi-Service Center, and the Human Resource Planning Society. He is past chairperson for the Weyerhaeuser Foundation, the Federal Way Chamber of Commerce and Advancing Leadership, a community-based leadership development program. He is also active in the HR Consortium for the home building industry.
